Imagine It! The Children’s Museum of Atlanta to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Fun, Child-friendly Crafts and Stories

                        Sunday, May 6 – craft at 2:00 p.m. and story at 3:00 p.m.

Details: Cinco de Mayo celebrates the victory of the Mexican Army over the French Army in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Today people celebrate with festivals, special dances and eat cultural cuisine. Another tradition, among many, is to wear red and green clothes, the colors of the Mexican flag.

                        The Museum will celebrate with a reading of Cinco de Mouse-O by Judy Cox. Children can make their own maracas in honor of the holiday.


Museum hours: Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Admission is $12.75 plus tax for adults and children ages 2 and above; children under 2 are free.  The Children’s Museum of Atlanta is located in the Luckie Marietta District at 275 Centennial Olympic Park Drive NW.
