Sojourner Marable Grimmett serves as Director of Constituent Services and Digital Engagement Strategist for Fulton County Chairman John Eaves in the state’s most populous county, home to nearly one million residents and 14 municipalities. A compassionate community advocate focusing on women, children, education, and quality of life, Sojourner is one of Atlanta’s sought after social media influencers with the ability to engage online users to enact social change. 

Before working in politics, Sojourner spent 12 years in academia holding leadership positions at the Savannah College of Art and Design, Southern Regional Education Board, Morehouse College, and AmeriCorps. A New Leaders Council - Atlanta alum, she serves as a board member for the Fulton-Atlanta Community Action Authority, Safe Kids Fulton County, and Atlanta Promise Neighborhoods. 

Sojourner blogs for the Huffington Post, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Imagine It! Children’s Museum of Atlanta, World of Coca-Cola, and Atlanta’s Ronald McDonald House Charities. She volunteers at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, as well as, supports the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children. 

Sojourner consults with Fortune 500 companies and connects with thousands of readers monthly on her blog, “Married with Two Boys.” She has been featured on local and national television and print publications. Sojourner holds a BA in Communications from Clark Atlanta University and an MA in Media Studies from Pennsylvania State University.
