A homeless mother and newborn baby had very few options before the Genesis Shelter opened. Genesis Shelter enables families to stay together, with each family having their own bedroom in a safe place created specifically for newborn babies and their families. The shelter provides a supportive environment and enables homeless newborns and their families to achieve positive life outcomes.
On Tuesday, September 18, 2012, the star of the new Disney on Ice show will spend time with young mothers and shelter volunteers to congratulate them for their stories of bravery and working to accomplish their dreams even in the face of insurmountable odds.
