Halloween
doesn't have to mean haunted houses and walking door-to-door. Several
Atlanta family-friendly attractions are letting their skeletons out of
the closet for the month of October to give ghouls and ghosts of all
ages a spook-tacular experience.
LEGOLAND Discover Center gives everyone something to scream about with their month-long Brick-or-Treat celebration.
Each weekend in October, kids can ghost hunt in MINILAND, build a LEGO
ghost in the Model Builder Academies and trick-or-treat around the
center. Children 12 and under can enter the costume contest for a chance
to win an annual LEGOLAND pass.
Children can travel down magical paths to see their favorite animals and get candy from costumed characters at Atlanta Zoo's Boo at the Zoo. On Oct. 20, 21, 27 and 28, participate in costume contests, hay maze challenges and a Zoo Boo Town carnival. A special Family Nightcrawler
Halloween event Oct. 20 brings parents and kids face-to-face with some
of wildlife's creepiest crawlers. Spend the night painting pumpkins,
trick-or-treating and myth-busting.
See a spookier side of Six Flags Over Georgia with Fright Fest
beginning Oct. 6. Enjoy kid-friendly activities during the day with
eerie storytelling, arts and crafts, a Trick-or-Treat Trail and special
rides including bumper cars.
