Holiday Trains

All
Aboard!! The North Georgia Tin Plate Trackers will display a variety of
interactive holiday trains at The Children’s Museum of Atlanta.
The layout will delight and entertain children of all ages. Every module of the
set up has push-buttons which allow spectators to operate various model
railroad accessories such as crossing gates, beacon towers, handcars, and
trolleys.
Meet
the Holidays: Día de la Virgen de Guadalupe
Saturday, December 1
at 12:00 and 3:00 PM and Sunday, December 2 at 2:00 PM
Join the Imaginators for one of Mexico’s most celebrated religious
holidays, Our Lady of Guadalupe. Visitors can listen to Our Lady of Guadalupe by Francisco
Serrano to learn about cultural art and create Papel Cortado (cut paper)
in bright colors to decorate at home.
Santa’s Workshop
Saturday, December 8 from 10:30 – 2:30
PM
Join Santa
and the Imaginators for a special winter holiday workshop. Visitors can make
holiday picture ornaments, enjoy story-time with Santa, and play festive
Reindeer Games. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture these special
memories!
Meet
the Holidays: Hannukah
Saturday, December 15
at 12:00 and 3:00 PM and Sunday, December 16 at 2:00 PM
Join the Imaginators for the Festival of Lights. Hanukkah in
traditionally welcomed with a holiday banner adorned with light. Visitors to
the Museum can listen to The Amazing
Menorah of Mazeltown by Hal
Dresner and then make a banner to decorate their home for Hanukkah.

the Holidays: Christmas
Saturday, December 22
at 12:00 and 3:00 PM and Sunday, December 23 at 2:00 PM
Join
the Imaginators for a magical
Christmas story Room for a Little One: A
Christmas Tale by Martin Waddell and Jason
Cockcroft. Children can then make Christmas gift tags as a symbol of
welcome, joy, and holiday spirit.
Meet
the Holidays: Kwanzaa
Saturday, December 29
at 12:00 and 3:00 PM and Sunday, December 30 at 2:00 PM To honor and
celebrate African-American heritage and culture, children will listen to L’il Rabbit’s Kwanza by Donna L. Washington and Shane W. Evans and then make
a Mancala game which people of all ages play during the weeklong Kwanzaa
festivities.
Noon Year’s Eve Ball
Monday, December 31
at 11:30 AM

We are counting down to the “noon year” for 2013. Come celebrate with us! Join Cinderella and Prince Charming for cotillion dancing on Noon Year’s
Eve. Afterward help them count down to the "noon year" then
join a grand ballroom procession throughout the Museum. Reservations are
recommended.
