Experience the NEW Children's Museum of Atlanta!

The Children's Museum of Atlanta (CMA) went through major renovations and opened its doors again to the public this month! I took my kids and nephew (see photos below) to the newly renovated museum over the weekend to view the enhanced space and exhibits.

The museum features 2 additional permanent exhibits, a new 3,000 square foot mezzanine level, enhanced existing galleries, a permanent performance space for the Museum's Imaginators and much more!

Cool Fact! CMA is the only educational venue of its kind in Atlanta, with education programs and exhibits designed for young children ages 0-8. Learn more about CMA here.

Super Kids Save the World is now Open at Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta

Super Kids Save the World

Saturday, February 7, 2015 Through Sunday, May 3, 2015

On Sunday, I took the boys to The Children's Museum of Atlanta to check out their new exhibit, "Super Kids Save the World." This exhibit is based on the British children’s book, George Saves the World by Lunchtime written by Jo Readman and illustrated by Ley Honor Roberts. The book is dedicated to showing the importance of taking care of the world.

The newest exhibit in the Morph Gallery features a House, Garden, Re-Use Charity Shop, Farmer's Market, Recycle Center, Reduce Fuel Station and Research Lab all geared to teach children about Reducing, Re-using, Recycling and Repairing!

My future scientist is learning about sustainable energy by studying algae as an important source of biofuel.
Let the Light Shine! What happens when the light shines on the panel?
My child's on stage learning the song, "ReduceReuseRecycle!"

We're in the Money! Money! Money! Money! We went to The Children’s Museum of Atlanta to check out the new exhibit Moneyville over the weekend and had a blast! Moneyville, an educational traveling exhibit developed by the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, allows guests to explore the history, science, math and economics behind the fascinating subject of money.

Money isn’t just about dollars and cents. The ancient Aztecs used chocolate for money, and Yap Islanders used 500-lb. stones! So what is money and how does it work? Now families, adults, and children can explore the history, science, math, and economics behind money in Moneyville. This new, highly interactive traveling exhibition uses the familiar and fascinating subject of money to build math skills and promote economic literacy in a fun and urban environment.
