R. Gregory Christie is a three-time recipient of the Coretta Scott King Honor for illustration. Two of his books — Only Passing Through and Stars in the Darkness — were picked by The New York Times for its Best Illustrated Children's Books list. He has also illustrated numerous jazz album covers, and is a regular contributor to The New Yorker. He earned a B.F.A. in media arts from the School of Visual Arts.

On these two dates, guests who can demonstrate residence or employment in either the City of Atlanta or Fulton County Government will be admitted free. Offer good for up to 2 adults and 4 children per family.
City of Atlanta or Fulton County residents
Recognized forms of ID include:
- Georgia Driver’s License
- State of Georgia-issued voter identification
- water, gas or light utility bill
City of Atlanta or Fulton County Government Employees
Recognized forms of ID include:
- a City of Atlanta employee identification card or Fulton County Government employee identification card.
Plan to arrive early, and consider MARTA travel, as parking will be limited.
