This summer Fulton County Schools is serving free meals at more than 30 school locations across the county as part of its annual “Summer Feeding Program.” Any child under age 18 may come and eat a summer meal.
The program is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s efforts to curb child hunger. Each summer, the USDA partners with local organizations like Fulton County Schools to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer. Nationwide, more than 3.2 million low-income children participated in the summer feeding programs last July.
