A Special Offer for a Special Milestone
The Home of Happiness is inviting everyone to enjoy a special anniversary offer this Memorial Day weekend. All day Sunday, May 24, guests can enjoy two general admission tickets for $25, a savings of 20 percent. These specially priced tickets can be purchased at walk-up ticket windows beginning at 9 a.m. on May 24. The tickets will not be available online, and will only be valid for admission Sunday.
Kiss the Past Hello: Celebrating 100 Years of an American Icon
The World of Coca-Cola isn’t the only one celebrating a milestone. This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the iconic Coca-Cola contour bottle. In recognition of this milestone, Coca-Cola Design invited creative minds from around the world to recreate iconic Coca-Cola artwork from the last 100 years. Now the attraction is sharing the anniversary love and featuring artwork chosen from those submissions in a new exhibit in the Pop Culture gallery, Kiss the Past Hello. This special exhibit will be open through May 2016.
“The World of Coca-Cola celebrates Coca-Cola year-round, so it’s special that we get to share a milestone along with the iconic bottle that started it all,” said Russell Jacobs, General Manager of Retail and Attractions for The Coca-Cola Company.
More on the Bottle That Started It All
Kiss the Past Hello isn’t just a new exhibit at the World of Coca-Cola. It is also the title of a new collectible coffee table book from Assouline Publishing. The book commemorates 100 years of the Coca-Cola bottle’s influence on art and popular culture and is available in The Coca-Cola Store at the attraction.
World of Coca-Cola guests can learn even more about the iconic contour bottle in 100 Years of the Coca-Cola Bottle – A Global Celebration, a special exhibit that recently opened in the attraction’s central atrium. The exhibit features more than 50 Coca-Cola art bottles from around the world, each one capturing a distinctive aspect of its home country’s culture and traditions.
Those interested in learning more about the contour bottle can also take advantage of a special offer to visit the High Museum’s exhibit The Coca-Cola Bottle: An American Icon at 100. Both attractions are offering a bounce-back promotion, so anyone with a ticket to the World of Coca-Cola or High Museum can receive $3 off general admission to the other attraction. The offer is available May 24 through June 19 at walk-up ticket windows only.
Share a Coke and Cheers to 25
The celebration doesn’t end the weekend of the attraction’s anniversary. World of Coca-Cola guests also can plan to celebrate the anniversary with the Share a Coke program. Back by popular demand, Coca-Cola is swapping out its iconic logo on Coca-Cola®, Diet Coke® and Coke Zero™ packaging for 1,000 of the most popular names in the country. In honor of the attraction’s anniversary, those who want to personalize their own mini-cans and enjoy music, entertainment and a selfie photo station may visit the Share a Coke experiential tour at Pemberton Place Friday, May 29 through Sunday, May 31. The full Share a Coke schedule can be found at www.shareacoke.com.
