CLAYBORNE CARSON: “MANNING MARABLE ON THE INTEGRITY OF LEADERSHIP AND SCHOLARSHIP IN HISTORY’S GREATEST FREEDOM STRUGGLE.”
After being selected by the late Coretta Scott King to edit & publish her husband’s work in 1985, Carson‘s professional life has been dedicated to the study of Martin Luther King Jr. He is the founding director of The Martin Luther King Jr. Research & Education Institute at Stanford University and has been in the forefront of the release of the King papers Project.

Robyn Spencer (Lehman College), Russell Rickford (Dartmouth College) and Komozi Woodard (Sarah Lawrence College) will be discussing the life and works of ALST founder, Manning Marable.
