Support America's Anti-Hunger Programs #APlaceAtTheTable

More than one in every four Georgia children – 28.3% of our children – now live in food insecure households, which is defined by the USDA as the lack of access to adequate food resulting from the lack of money and other resources. This is up from 27.9% last year.   And what we have recently learned from the new documentary film, A Place at the Table, is that more than 50 million Americans -- 1 in 6 adults, and 1 in 4 children — don't know where their next meal is coming from.

This film examines food insecurity --  not knowing where your next meal is coming from--through the lens of the stories of three everyday Americans, Americans who could be your neighbors, your friends, your coworkers, who worry every day about how to put food on their family¹s table.
A Place at the Table opens nationwide on March 1, and people can see it in theaters, on ITunes and OnDemand.  People can visit the campaign website at http://www.takepart.com/table or text FOOD to77177 to learn more about how you can join us in supporting America's anti-hunger programs.  A social action campaign launching on March 1 will bring together a collation of expert NGOs, foundations and good corporate citizens to create the first of its kind national action center where people can find the most important national and local actions they can take to end hunger in America.
