Let's Get Healthy this Summer! 10,000 Steps per Day!










This summer my colleagues and I have joined the iVillage Get Moving now Community Challenge!


On behalf of iVillage I gave away 25 pedometers to my colleagues, so they can keep track of their daily steps.

Did you know that to stay healthy you should be taking 10,000 steps a day? How many steps do you take in a typical day?

This summer, iVillage and the President’s Challenge Program are working together to help 1 million Americans get active! With their six-week program you'll receive:

  • DAILY EMAILS from members of the President's Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition: Cornell McClellan, personal trainer to the First Family; Drew Brees, Dominique Dawes, Allyson Felix, Grant Hill and Michelle Kwan; & Dan Barber
