Atlanta Area School for the Deaf's Fall Festival

Atlanta Area School for the Deaf's Fall Festival

Who are Are:

The Atlanta Area School for the Deaf provides a model program that promotes quality education for deaf and hard-of-hearing (D/HH) students and support to more than 33 local school systems in Georgia. Many of our students also have additional disabilities that further impact the learning/teaching process. To assist the school in providing opportunities and experiences to improve our students' learning, the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf is hosting its twentieth year annual FALL FESTIVAL and Silent Auction on Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Our Event:
Our Fall Festival is one of the largest D/HH events in the Southeast. The money raised will help support special educational projects and other critical areas that focus on our deaf and hard-of-hearing students’ educational needs. In the past profits were used to purchase gym equipment, school supplies, computer software as well as subsidizing special activities such as the trips to Rock Eagle
in Eatonton, Georgia, the NASA Space Center in Huntsville, Alabama and the Annual Senior Educational Trip to Washington, D.C.

Our Goal:
Our goal is to spread the word about our Fall Festival AND the organizations, businesses, and local deaf owners in our Georgia
community. We would like to give everyone an opportunity to be recognized for their business, organization, products and what they do.

While we recognize that you must work hard to make your business a success, we would appreciate any donation of goods, services, or gift certificates for our Fall Festival (i.e. Auction). We also appreciate any sponsorship. The items are fully tax-deductible, and your business name/logo will be recognized. If you are unable to come to our event, but would like to sponsor or make a donation so that your business' logo and name will be recognized at AASD among our community, please contact Carrie Kalberg at ckalberg@doe.k12.ga.us.

If you are interested in reserving a booth in our vendors area, please contact our Vendors chair,
Helen Malone at hmalone@doe.k12.ga.us.

If you or a friend would like to volunteer help, please contact our Volunteers chair, Amanda Adams
at amadams@doe.k12.ga.us.
