Our youngest son, Joshua and I attended the For Sisters Only (FSO) event in Atlanta, Georgia today! We had a great time visiting the various booths and learning more about the National Urban League's mission and vision.
The Urban League Empowerment Summit Offered:
One on one Foreclosure Prevention
A Career and Resource Fair
Health Screenings
Empowerment Seminars
Celebrity Hot Spot
A Lash Bar
Free Photo at the I AM EMPOWERED Photo Booth
Shopping at the National Urban League Empowerment Store!
We attended the "Saving Our Sisters: Empower Your Mind, Body & Soul" session moderated by Susan L. Taylor, Founder of the National Cares Mentoring Movement. Panelists included: Demetria McKinney, Terri J. Vaughn, Valorie Burton, and Traci, Towanda and Trina Braxton.
Session: As the role of women in our society change, so do their challenges. Women face universal obstacles, as well as unique difficulties all their own. In this inspiration session, a panel of empowered, successful sisters will share their insights and knowledge on health, education, family career and success in balancing it all. Create a better you!
