Joyful Noise was filmed in cities throughout Georgia, such as Atlanta, Decatur, Newnan, Dallas, Conyers, and Peachtree City. The movie finished filming in early April 2011 and will be releashed in theatres on January 13, 2012. Get ready to feel the joy, because the movie comes out in theatres near you!
I'm excited to take my family to a sneak preview of Joyful Noise on Tuesday in Atlanta! I'm sure we'll recognize several places in the film. The movie is written and directed by Todd Graff, with gospel-infused music by Mervyn Warren.
Starring some of our favorite actors: Queen Latifah, Dolly Parton, Keke Palmer, Jeremy Jordan, Courtney B. Vance, Dexter Darden, and Kris Kristofferson. The plot is about two choir members who have differing opinions on how to win the national choir competition.
